Pastor Dr. DeJuan Knight was born and raised in the Louisville, Kentucky area to Willie and Frances Knight. Alongside his older brother Kris, he grew up in a warm Seventh-day Adventist Christian home, with his grandparents, Harold and Ozema Knight, living right next door. They played a major role in his upbringing, grounding him in faith and family from an early age.
Having his grandparents next door shaped Pastor Knight's understanding of church as an extended family. That same warmth and presence now defines his leadership at Hillsview SDA.
He attended SDA schools for elementary education and went on to graduate from Oakwood University (2001, 2003). He then earned degrees from Andrews University SDA Theological Seminary (2005, 2018).
It was at Andrews University where he met the love of his life, the former Rochelle Browne. They were married on July 1, 2007, and God has blessed their union with three beautiful children.
Pastor Knight has had the privilege of pastoring in varied places, Kentucky, Florida, and Alabama, and the Lord has blessed his efforts wherever he has served. He now leads the Hillsview SDA Church family in Birmingham, AL with a heart for discipleship and community.
