Stewardship A Covenant Between Father and Child

Faithful Stewardship - Hillsview SDA Church

Everything belongs to God. We are His caretakers.

"Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."
β€” 1 Corinthians 4:2

Stewardship is not about money firstβ€”it is about relationship first. It is a covenant between GOD (Father) and US (His Children). God owns everything. We are entrusted to manage it faithfully for His glory.

Everything belongs to God. We are caretakers, not owners. We answer to God for how we manage His gifts. Stewardship is about recognizing that all we haveβ€”our time, talents, finances, relationships, health, and even the earth itselfβ€”are gifts from God to be used for His glory.

πŸ™ WHY STEWARDSHIP MATTERS πŸ™

Why Stewardship Matters

01

God's Ownership

Everything belongs to God. The earth and everything in it, the treasures and resources we possessβ€”all come from His hand.

  • "The earth is the Lord's" β€” Psalm 24:1
  • Every good gift comes from above
02

Our Role

We are caretakers, not owners. God entrusts us with His resources, expecting us to manage them faithfully.

  • Managers of God's gifts
  • Faithful with little, ruler over much
  • Accountability to God
03

Biblical Foundations

Scripture provides the foundation for faithful stewardship, from Genesis to the parables of Jesus.

  • Genesis - Caretakers of Eden
  • Parable of the Talents
  • 1 Peter 4:10 - Managers of grace
✨ WHAT WE STEWARD ✨

Six Areas of Faithful Stewardship

Time β€’ Talents β€’ Finances β€’ Creation β€’ Relationships β€’ Health

Time

Every moment is a gift from God. We steward our time by prioritizing worship, family, service, and rest.

Make the most of every opportunity

Talents

God has uniquely gifted each of us to serve His kingdom through ministry, service, and building up the body of Christ.

Serving with joy and excellence

Finances

We honor God with the first fruits through tithes and offerings, budgeting wisely, avoiding debt, and giving generously.

Tithes β€’ Offerings β€’ Goods β€’ Testimony β€’ Praise

Creation

As caretakers of Eden, we are called to protect and preserve God's creation through environmental stewardship.

Caring for God's earth

Relationships

Our relationships with family, friends, neighbors, and fellow believers are sacred trusts stewarded through love and forgiveness.

Loving God, loving others

Health

Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We steward our health through proper nutrition, exercise, and rest.

Honoring God with our bodies
🌟 HOW WE LIVE STEWARDSHIP 🌟

Living as Faithful Stewards

We serve because Christ first served us. Our stewardship is expressed through daily acts of kindness.

  • Talents - Using gifts for God's glory
  • Caring for Creation
  • Honoring Relationships & Health
02

Through Giving

We give because God first gave to us. Our giving is an act of worship and gratitude.

  • Offerings - Giving above the tithe
  • Goods - Sharing resources

  • Praise - Worshiping through song

Testimonies of Blessing

James Normandy

"I used to think of stewardship as just about money, but Hillsview taught me it's about the whole life β€” time, talents, resources. Learning to be a faithful steward has actually freed me, not burdened me. I've never experienced a church that teaches this with such grace."
